Background

As a graduate of Bucknell University with a major in Computer Science and Engineering, I am proud to be one of the first in my family to attend college and strive towards achieving the American Dream. I am driven by my passion to leverage my education in empowering my community and family to make a positive impact on the world.

Home and Hobbies

I was born in Calgary, Canada, but Boston has always felt like home to me. My family immigrated to Boston when I was six years old, and I have been living here ever since. During my childhood, I was always engaged in various activities such as basketball, break-dancing, tennis, gymnastics, football, and even playing Yu-Gi-Oh. Snowboarding was a sport I picked up once I moved to Seattle after college! However, it wasn't until I took my first computer science course during my sophomore year of high school that I discovered my passion for the subject, which has continued to grow ever since.

Dreams

Growing up in the Newland Projects in Boston, I saw firsthand the challenges that families face when resources are limited. My parents worked tirelessly to provide for our family of six, with my dad working at Target to make ends meet. As immigrants who arrived in the US without any knowledge of English or American customs, they faced additional hurdles. However, their determination and resilience taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. Because of my upbringing, I'm committed to giving back to my community and investing in projects that empower and enable individuals.

Professional Experience

Everyone has to start somewhere, and I was no exception. When I first entered the industry, I had limited experience and had yet to secure my first internship. With time and dedication, I've been able to build a strong foundation of experiences that I'm excited to share. Below, you'll find images of some of my favorite projects and experiences, including my time at Microsoft and Facebook (now known as Meta). Don't forget to click on the images for a deeper look into each subject. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me!

Projects

Here are some of my most cherished projects that helped launch my career in computer science. They provided me with valuable insights into how to approach problems like a seasoned software engineer. As I wrapped up the Megaman and Zombie Shooter projects, my feelings of imposter syndrome began to recede. Living Ancestry is a personal passion project I have been working on post undegrad to showcase what I have learned since school. I hope you enjoyed learning more about my journey.
